For nearly three months, from March to June 2020, 99% of flights were suspended from departures from the largest airports in France such as Orly and Roissy.
As of June 22, 2020, the French government officially declares the lifting of containment throughout France and allows the possibility of travel, including by plane.

Am I affected by the fortnight measures?
In order to combat the import and / or spread of the Coronavirus, fortnightly measures (mandatory or voluntary) may be applied for French nationals or travelers from outside Europe depending on their country of arrival or destination.
The compulsory fortnight in France
Some countries apply the mandatory fortnight. Lasting a maximum of 14 days (or upon renewal for one month by medical opinion), it can be carried out at the person's home or in accommodation suitable for the implementation of health instructions. It relates to :
- Anyone going overseas
- Anyone arriving on national territory with symptoms of Covid-19 infection during health checks
The voluntary fortnight in France
The voluntary fortnight is optional. It is not mandatory. It appeals to the good citizenship of each traveler, who may at their own discretion isolate themselves upon arrival. It is optional for travelers from around the world who do not have symptoms of Covid-19.
Quatorzaine exemption in France
All travelers from Europe or EU member countries are exempt from the fortnight.

What health measures are in force at Roissy airport?
At the end of June, 6 to 8,000 passengers use the air lanes daily via the 3 active terminals. For several weeks now, all players in the aviation sector have been fully reflecting on the means to be implemented with regard to hygiene issues within the airport and on planes.
In the airport
- Thermal imaging camera device on arrival + medical care if temperature> 38 ° + PCR test
- Wearing a mask compulsory for staff
- Cleaning and disinfection (virucidal) of the installations several times a day
- Presence of hydroalcoholic gel dispensers
- One in two seats condemned in the waiting room
- Signage put in place to enforce physical distancing
- The so-called "non-essential" spaces reserved for passengers, such as lounges and play areas, smoking areas, remain closed to the public for the time being.
- Electronic systems detect flock formations
- Security check with single-use container
- Security checks have been removed
- Terminals 1, 3, 2C, 2D and 2G are still temporarily closed
Some businesses are still closed, however the Relay and pharmacy shops, or take-out food sales are open during restricted hours.
In planes
- Even if the treatment of the air inside planes is comparable to that of a surgical unit and that the risk of contamination is almost zero, the obligation to wear a mask remains at the discretion of the airlines although most of them adopt it
- Wearing a surgical mask is compulsory for any departure from Paris
- AirFrance is gradually deploying temperature tests on board its planes
